NW Sunday.

Wow. What a day! So awesome. Got to Jericho around 9:00am and kited till 10:00am. The wind just wasn't fun for me so me and my friend who came along tried to surf but it didn't work well. I caught one wave. (We shared just my board) Went for lunch and came home. Around 3:00pm me and my friend bused to ambleside.(he brought his board as well) I scored maybe 30min on 9m and my new surfboard then the wind died so we went surfing. Scored lots of rides with a bunch of other surfers. So much fumnnnnn! What a great first day on a short board!

Was out on 10M from 8:30-11:30. Guys are still out on 12M, sunny and nice knee-waisters , Sandbar should be showing by now.

Awesome time at East Beach on 10m and foil. Lit between 9:30 and 12:00. When I left at 12:30 lots more kiters showed up with 12m.

Jeff and Rob - Congrats on White Rock today. I would have brought AltonJR today but she was too exhausted from staying up too late last night.

Double session (kite and surf) at home on the North Shore today.

Launched from Ambleside on a 10m at 1pm. Denham, Eileen and John from Squamish all arrived at the same time. Gabor was already on the water. Wind must have been gusting up to 30 knots, as I was well powered with full depower.

Fun session at A side. The Hoover craft showed up too, but why?

I was 2nd on the water at Jericho at about 8:45, I was suprised by the lack of people there with such good wind and a good forecast. I rode my 10m until about 11:00, often over powered with a few shoulder high waves shaping up nicely early on but by the end they were disorganised. I had plans for the afternoon but wished I could have stayed, it's still blowing 20+ knots at kits beach at 6:00. I'm hoping for a post work session at 3rd tomorrow, then a post work session at kits Tuesday.

I was 5th on the water at 9am after James, Roxstock, Jack and Dave B in steady W 25-30. The first hour was way better than expected. Usually high tide is choppy but I found lots of exceptionally smooth and steep waist high waves perfect for hero gybes. With full depower on my 9m + surfboard jumping ramps was so much fun with straps. Too bad I lost my surfboard after the first hour but every thing worked out in the end.

It blew till dark in WR, in fact it is still going now. James and Derek scored triple sessions. Anyone who didn't kite today... I hope you have a doctors note.

Great turnout today with a good mix of windsurfers and kiters at Spanish Banks. Unfortunately plenty of carnage:

1. Rob W and I lost our surfboards which were luckily picked up by VPD at Sunset Beach then hand delivered and returned to us at Spanish Banks

2. The coast guard hovercraft landed at Spanish Banks searching for the owner of the abandoned surfboard - Me !!!

3. 2 more kiters lost their twin tips. Still M.I.A.

4. Francis' kite deflated and buckled. After 30-60 minutes drifting towards English Bay, I got Jericho rescue to pick up Francis around the Jericho Sailing Centre.

5. Adrien Grelon hit a log and destroyed the fin box on his new Kode windsurfer. He's really pissed.

6. Adrian (the older one) also hit a log and destroyed his fins (and fin box?). Sadly, he had to swim and body drag from the freighters
