Careful Alton...........that switch to westerly is looking like it might happen around midnight on some of the models now. 8am is a long ways away if that happens. I'm hoping that front stalls just a little bit more for the westerly timing tomorrow. The fact that Locust is already SE17G24 with a falling barometer tells me the front is actually ahead of schedule by a few hours :(

Fingers crossed.........

Frontal passage, FROPA, just occurred at buoy 46206 west of Sheringham point. I would guess there's about 3-4 hours left of SE winds before they veer to westerly through JDFS and locally. Hopefully, the easterly progression of the front slows a little as it interacts with higher terrain.

Race Rocks just switched W39G47 at 10pm!!! Comox and Nanaimo have also switched to westerly with rising pressures. Expect YVR and Sandheads to be nuking westerly by midnight. Now it just has to last for 11 hours straight after the switch for everyone to get a 3 hour dawn patrol local session. Wherever you go tomorrow go as early as possible. The wind definitely won't be hanging around all day.
