The 120 hour out projected surface pressure gradients and predictive upper level atmosphere models show another nice low pressure centre spinning up in the Eastern Pacific and moving our way for Tuesday.
This one has a projected track that starts out a little further south. This setup usually brings a quick shift to Westerly and a burst of strong west winds down JDFS after frontal passage..........excellent for West Beach on Whidbey.
There should be a block of strong SE winds, 6-8 hours, before the frontal passage for Locust and Boundary Bay with the predicted speed of the jet stream and low pressure centre. It looks like a good setup for a double session with Locust in the morning and West Beach in the afternoon. I'll take a look again over the weekend and see how things are shaping up.
There's another projected low fast on its heels for Thursday. This one looks like it could have some serious power.
So much for El Niño conditions to start the season
