Hey Alton, the cold, onshore easterly winds should be confined to the local spots only until the afternoon when it clocks to SE and builds. I think you'll be in good shape heading south to Locust looking at the direction of those surface isobars over Whidbey and the SanJuans. As always, check the actuals first.

Have fun :D

I might be able to make it to Centennial Friday afternoon before I pick my daughter up at the Ferry, so any OSRs would be appreciated.

Bellingham TAF is forecasting wind to arrive at 1pm when the tide is too high to launch at Locust  If nothing arrives at Locust this morning, I might try 3rd Ave later this afternoon.

Yup (CB/CAFB). Nice looking tide from 11 am to 2 pm (3.6 m > 4.5 m).

Sisters is cranking. Have fun at Columbia Beach!

Is there any point in checking out 3rd at around lunchtime, or would it be better to try the dawn patrol tomorrow?

I will head to 3rd or 72nd for around 3:00 if the wind is there. Looks like it's building quite nicely on the webcam.

Double Bluff down on Whidbey just kicked into mid 20's at 1000am and looks filled in nicely on the webcam. This should work its way up to Locust around noon or shortly thereafter. Columbia looks good on the webcam, nice back 180 spinners Dave :D , and Goose Spit looks insane. Sisters was just SE42G50  Hopefully 3rd gets the switch to SE and some wind too.

Adrien, Mike, Dave; if you are already in the island and want to make it a memorable trip,

I have the cabin available if you want to crash at Ucluelet today at night. All you have to do is drive to Ucluelet , keys are outside the cabin, silently get inside (full kitchen, full bath) crash for the night, and windsurf Tofino in the morning (20 knots it 'll be tomorrow at Tofino), then come back tomorrow afternoon. Just leave everything as you found it in the cabin, and if the caretaker asks tell gabriel is coming.

send a PM and I'll give directions to it.

I'll get there Sat 1pm.
