The low pressure centre over Vancouver Island filled faster then expected today. As a result, the forecast wind strengths didn't quite materialize and everything was backed off locally.

There was still great wind south of the border close to forecast strength especially on Whidbey. Double Bluff is still pumping S30G34 at 5pm and has been windy and steady all day. The Locust graph showed a very gusty S20-30 with 35mph gusts in the early afternoon.

First session back in a long time! I started out with 12m and twin tip, in which I was constantly over or under powered. I managed to get to shore just in time before the wind died and lots of unfortunate souls had to swim in.

After a little break the wind picked back up and I went out for another half hour or so. I also got to steal Senior's surfboard for a few minutes. When the wind picked up a little too much I let Senior take the 12m and surfboard while I got the 9m. I finally had to call it quits when I was getting lifted by the 9m.

Overall, great 3.5 hours session back! I am stoked for the next one! :D
