Long day at Crescent Beach from 10am to 2:30pm. At 10:30am after Pierre (8m) and Reg (9m), I regrettably started way overpowered on 9m+surfboard on SSW 30. By the time I made towards 1001 steps the wind backed off to SSW 25-30, with some sweet waist high swell. Near noon the wind dropped quickly and I darted for shore. First time I ever had a "reverse" walk of shame - walking back to the launch down wind.

Returned to the water on my 9m when it clocked W 20 at noon. Switched to 12m at 1:30pm to end the day.

Good turnout with Lorne, Reg, Pierre, Joe, Clay, Jerry, Kirsten, Rob, Bobby ...

Really fun session enjoyed by 2 guys from Tsawwassen! :D Where was everybody else? When I went to launch it looked really sketchy but glad I went out. The wind was really strong on the outside, too much for my 110 so I'm glad I came in for my Roberts. Ryan and I had a blast, got some nice airs and I nailed a few Winddoc style jibes. He totally inspired me at my last Columbia Beach session. Waves were big big but messy with lots of chop in between. Some of the big chop made for great jumps though as you could hit straight on. Wind shut down fast though ending my session with another swim, at least it wasn't that far though. :D Hope we get out again tomorrow.

Fantastic day at centennial beach! Fully powered on my 5.3/110 at times slightly overpowered but loving it. Lots of chop but ample opportunity for airtime. Some large swells on the outside. Michael caught some good jumps After the early litres packed it in, Michael and I had the bay to ourselves! Shut down really quickly.... Lucky for me and 110L I didn't need to swim.

Double sesh, 72nd 10:00 until 11:30 10M & TT, WR from 12:30 until 13:00 15M and Surfboard. Best conditions were from 3:30 until dark though, sunshine and around 20kts.

Good call on crescent guys. Even launching at 72nd was sketchy with how high the tide was. We had to launch off the dyke and wade out in thigh high water were the grass normally is.

Lots of hunters, but they were happy with us scaring the ducks towards them.

Glad everyone made it in safe. Only Michael (windsurfing) had to swim in. Looked pretty sketchy after 10am.

Yah. Locust is pretty eerie when you're alone there. I had the same feeling in April when I was windsurfing 4.7/93L solo dawn patrol. I was so happy to see Dave/C36 arrive afterwards.

Unfortunately, there's not many local windsurfers left in Bellingham - all kiting now.
