Looks like a solid SE, (20-30mph) for a session at Locust and Whidbey on Friday.

SE 22G30 knots from 7am-11am forecast on the Whidbey TAF as predicted with a nice switch to westerly for the afternoon.

The Bellingham TAF should bump up on the next forecast run. Locust and Whidbey both should be good SE tomorrow.

Cheers,

Chris

It's cranking at Locust. Tide drops to 7 feet after 11am. Hope it lasts.

Looks good now, but a sketchy tide, and the switch sounds early. WR may work later, but the wind seems like it will fade soon after it turns...on standby with the boney conditions right now.

Locust (S 33, gusting 38 @ 5:30 am) > CNL (SE 16, gusting 19)

Tide will work for pole dancers. Headed for Locust for dawn, unless conditions change in transit.

Thinking the same. Sunrise a bit before 8. 3.7 packed!

Conditions weren't great, S maybe 22, 23 knots but there were a lot of lulls so some slogging around then planing and a big wind shadow near shore. Some nice big swells though and I got in a few nice jumps and a couple of wave rides. Still it was great to get out with Ryan and finally do some sailing, hope tomorrow brings more wind.

Dave and I scored a lit up session at locust. 3.7 & 86l for me. Started with foot straps in freestyle setting (big) but rather nail biting in those conditions so tightened them up. Choppy but also some nice smooth waves waist high, some chest high that made for a very worthwhile session. Couple of kiters late in session but not long as wind dropped. The walk to the launch is no big deal (well maybe a bit more going back when tired). Surprised we didn't go here more when local wind is marginal.
