Looks like a good chance for some light wind this afternoon at SB.

Also notice 30 knot outflows at Pam Rocks, too bad there wasn't a workable launch in that area. I wonder how strong the outflows are at Porteau.

OSR Jericho and kits beach. Roughly 10 knots with some whitecaps further out in the bay. Not enough wind for me, I will keep watching the sensors and come back if it picks up before dark.

I would've thought there would be some local nw, fell short, maybe next time.
Alton doesn't seem to post any more, he already went past denial and anger, he must be in the depression stage by now; there will be acceptance by next week.

That's a perfect way to describe it  I'm in the acceptance stage. It's been almost a month since my last powered session. I don't even remember what kiteboarding in good wind feels like!

Got about 3 tacks on the NE in WR this morning. Geez they are sketchy, direct off shore and super gusty. Still I was powered, then it switched abruptly to a light NW.... I should have started at first light... But I had headed over to Crescent first, which was already killed by the NW.

stopped at Iona Beach on my way home from Seattle....barely 10 knots but oh so tempting.

Looks like a sweet location...my only concern would be that giant treatment plant next to the beach....

any clues how the water quality is down there?
not to keen to bathe in what vancouver leaves behind....

oh and alton:
i tried posting an OSR but everytime i wanted to post it logged me out ( have a windows phone)

2c, Iona has secondary treatment (i.e. sh&^ is filtered out and so its liquid bacteria after). Lions Gate bridge has only primary treatment ( if you are at Ambleside, West Van, tide going out, you are swimming in it, got sick twice from 70+sessions there).
I had no rashes, no issues; like Slappy said the first 50 meters from parking lot avoid beach, as pond discharges there and beach reeks when you step on sand/mud, after 50 meters all sand. I launched from parking lot beach, quick and painless, no issues, very much fun as waves roll near rocky jetty with no chop.

My condolences. Until you get a real smartphone you can call 604-800-2770 and press option 2 to leave an OSR. It's faster than posting on WTF
