Roxstock, Rob and I enjoyed a flatwater session at 72nd from 3:30 till 530. Good after-work session, lighter winds than expected but was plenty powered our big kites.

Found an AIrush leash if anyone is missing one.

I rode at 72nd from about 3:30-5:30 with rob and Jeff. Light steady wind, I was on 16m Jeff had his 15m and rob was on 10m and surf board. Fun session but not as much as I was expecting. Let's hope tomorrow delivers more.

Play field. I was more than a little worried that this was only going to be a 'virtual wind storm' showing in the forecast but not making an appearance in real time on the mainland, but it happened. Conditions reminded me of my first-ever session at Locust in October last year - big (somewhat gusty) wind and playful steep little waves that made for great jumping ramps and small pushy little backside rides. Fun to sail with Jerry, George, Cash and nice to see Dave C, Alton, Clay and Mike. Fun spot.

I got out at around 3:15 at 3rd ave and headed way outside to hunt for better wind. Around 3:40 the wind completely died on the outside, my kite just fell from the sky. I waited around until 4:00 hoping that the wind would come back but it was still 3-4 knots by then. I rolled up and started swimming. I was about even with the mile marker but a couple hundred meters down wind of it.

Took 50 minutes to reach shore.

Slappy, we saw your kite from 72nd when we first headed out, then you disappeared. Hmmm, so that's what happened. The wind clocked a little SSW for a bit, probably why it died at third.

Yesterday was good fun! Glad I made the trip over, joined by Michael and Essex (kiter). My new Starboard Kode 82l is awesome. Knocked off some of my best forward loops (most upright and tail first landings) so far, so that was sweet.

I was trying my best to learn from my elders, but as you can see below I've still got my work cutout for me... The good news is at 23 years old, I've got about 25-30 years to catch up to most of the ripping BWD crew
