Great first session at Locust Beach after being deprived by my biology trip to Bamfield. :x

I tried to use 9m and a twin tip from the NSKA club house; however, I was getting picked up with every gust so we pumped up the new 7m. Despite that I was still the first one on the water. I got in some great rides and transitions, only taking breaks to trim the kite!

Closer to the end of my session, Senior allowed me to use his surfboard! I managed to stay on the board for the most part with only one strap, although I kept out running my kite when going down wind.

I finally got off the water after 3.5 hours with extremely sore legs, but it was worth it!

My fingers are crossed for wind on Monday!

Mark, Francis and AJ - you guys chose well (Ferry Terminal) and avoided a big swim at 3rd Ave. Clocked SW at 3pm

Good times. Went to the 3rd floor today. Crazy! 7m with twin tip. Lots of familiar faces. Judging by Cash's goatee the wind looked about 32 kts. at time of photo. Also some pics of C36 for a change, since he is always taking time to photograph others. Happy Thanksgiving Y'all.

Alton you made the right call leaving. My 7m session at the peak ended after half an hour because I couldn't edge my vanguard anymore. Got some good airs though.

Those that arrived at locust after 1200 today got treated to a nuclear gusty day. Wind 30 to 50 plus . A 5.5 meter with a foot of depower was the ticket after the wind ramped up . :)

Wind alert has a sensor at white rock which seemed to be working today.

Sweet pics!! Looks like a big score for all those who went. I gotta get down there soon, the mini waves look very fun and it always seems to be 30g40

My right knee needs time off after a big flat landing yesterday...

Good pics from BBay.

WR was bonkers today, gusty but I had fun. Started out around 10 on my 15 that was alternating between fully powered and swimming. After an hour it picked up, literally, full depower and I got lifted off the water, pulled eject at about 15 feet up. This was like 2 tacks after spending 5 minutes waiting for wind to relaunch. Never had that happen before, one crazy gust. Tried to hook back up, but my kite flipped and my harness broke where my leash was attached. Scotty saved my kite, while also overpowered. Hero points there.

Went out on my 7m, big jumps to be had with the waves building to waist high. Was well powered, for a while all the 9+ M kites were forced off the water, felt like gusts were over 40Kts. Weeeeee.

Came off for turkey dinner around 1:00, tide was coming in fast. Things apparently got sketchy after that.

Blowing good SE right now. Looks like 20kts easy.

Sailed Centennial for about an hour, South wind made for straight on rampage fun. Then the wind shifted so went to Point Roberts with Richi and Darrel. Sailed another hour, big swell but the dying wind wasn't enough for the 5.2 at times. Nice big swells made for a fun sunset sesh. Still so sore for the Columbia beach 5 hour marathon of fun. Glad you guys scored at Locust. Did Ryan and Jen make it back from the Abyss alive?
