Gotta figure out how I can sneak out of my daughter's Xmas concert. Maybe I can conveniently forget about it and hope she doesn't inconveniently remind me.

My daughter's Xmas concert is at 3pm so I can sneak in dawn patrol.

Biggest obstacle is that I may get snowed in North Van.

NOAA has upgraded but they are saying dawn patrol as well.
Friday: SSE wind 22 to 28 kt, with gusts as high as 36 kt. Snow before 10am, then snow, possibly mixed with rain. Wind waves 4 to 5 ft.
But like you said lots of snow, we could be rigging in it.

Forecasted 11cm tonight + 4 cm Friday morning. Wondering how easy it will be to get up Cypress Mountain with all-season tires.

You're gonna be spending a lot of time at Cypress. You should get snow tires anyway.

Or only head up when roads are clear - which is most of the time.

NAVTEX is calling for E20-25 Fri morning. Not very encouraging. I'm tossed up between Centennial and Cypress.

That's like saying you'll only sail if it's 20 knots or less..
