Both forecasts on BWD are preaching good news for local wind on Saturday

I always thought September is generally the worst month for local wind....

In my experience September is usually one of the best months of the year for local sailing, both east and westerlies, it's January that's the worst.

FYI: forecast from iPhones or other mobiles looks way off compared to pc browsers. There's false different forecast using I kitesurf app., for same area, Alton has the right info though. It's a very mild nw forecast, (but it may spike anytime)

I primary look at WindAlert forecast (including free pro forecast for next 12 hours) and find it over-reports by 5-10knots, unless it is in agreement with other several other models....

edit: South of Nanaimo:

Strong wind warning in effect.
Wind light increasing to northwest 10 to 15 knots late overnight and to northwest 20 Saturday morning. Wind becoming northwest 15 to 20 early Saturday evening.
