Despite fairly marginal wind, pretty fun day yesterday at the Terminal with just a few people out. Went for a walk at Ambleside later and it would have been windy enough to kite on my 10. Two guys out on 15 and 12 m. A few photos from the day:

Pachena Bay gets some nice surf if the swell direction is just right.

The hike to Pachena Point lighthouse is worth while too, not to surf obviously, just for scenery.

Post the whole day in bed and bathroom struggling with a stomack flu yesterday, but altonjr comments brought me a huge laughter. I am her biggest fan. Continue on writing. And rich continue saving people. You know how many times he has rescued me on the water? :)

I got to Spanish banks at about 1:30, the wind was probably about 14 knots. I got out on my 16m and big twin tip from about 2:30-3:30. Just as the wind was dropping off I came in as a few 17m went out for a short time before it completely died. There were quite few smaller kites on the beach, a few tried but there wasn't enough wind. Nothing spectacular but still good to get out in the sun.

White Rock had almost a dozen guys out on light wind gear with tweegster pulling off some stylish front rolls. Wind blew from12:30 to about 4ish. Loads of fun! 8-)

Tried Iona 5 to 7 pm. No weeds, 14 ft tide deep enough. 14-17 knots. Planing with 7m/130 litres, swell very organized and spaced. Not many logs/ branches floating. If I don't get pink eye I'll try it again next time. That was fun/good workout.

8-) Got on the water again at 2:15 fully expecting it to die... had a fun hour and half session in the warm sun. Felt like 12-15 knots, plenty for my 15M. Hard to stay up wind with the incoming tide.... easier to skim the tide pools or just run back up the sand bars. By 4:30 or 3.6M tide, no sand left.
