Wind was coming out of the North all day long. Sailed for an hour then had a break for lunch then headed back out for another hour. Nice sailing in shorts but the wind was very gusty with big holes. Sometimes I was just sitting in the water waiting for the wind to come, then a big gust would come ripping along the lake, enough for one reach then I'd have to wait again. Lots of fun though blasting around the big lake by myself. I see Jake scored a session down in Osoyoos. Glad you guys are scoring some nice summer Acadia sessions!

Osoyoos has been incredible! The wind has been really sketchy near shore but once you are out its great! Yesterday was 15-20 and today was 20+ in the morning and 15-20 in the afternoon. I've been boosting, looping and wakestyle thanks to all the different wind strengths throughout the day :D Nothing but board shorts! Who would have thought Osoyoos would be so great for wind :D There are some locals but I swear they all show up when the wind dies and launch in a big wind shadow near trees rather than at the point? I'm so confused

Glad to hear you got another day in. There was no wind up here yesterday, that will probably be it for a while for me, I'm up near Vernon, but I hear that there is much more wind down south so hopefully you'll get some more days in. Can't believe how hot it is out hear!

I spent the most of the week from July 1-7th in Osoyoos and was stoked by the wind. I left my gear rigged on the shore the whole time. I had many 5.8 days on the North side of Haynes Point. Wasn't expecting much wind, but I'm so glad I brought my gear. Wind can gusty and a little holy.. but a 130L board seemed to work pretty well. I'm happy hear there were others in Osoyoos having fun on the water!!

True. I was in Osoyoos, June 30th-July2st . It was 20-25knots steady (with holes). Lucky I didn't take my 130/7m (14-20knots), cruising on that flat water would've been nice ... only 2 kite surfers (making S's).

I'm on my way to osoyoos now and staying til Sunday, I have a 16m and 12m kite with me. I have no idea how the thermal works there but hope to get out at least once.

Strange day at osoyoos lake. Dead calm in the morning, then the wind came up to about 8 knots from the NW. Then a storm rolled in and the wind switched to SW 30 knots with thunder and lightning , and by the time I rigged the kite it had died, then it came back for 15 minutes about 20 knots from the east and died again. Then it blew from the NW again, enough for me to get out on my 12m for a short session, then a very close lightning strike persuaded me to get off the water and shortly after the wind died again. Now it's calm again, but it was really nice launching and landing in my own garden.

Scored 1 hour fully lit on my 12m, then the wind got light and I called it a day whilst I could still make it back to my beach. A fun day drinking and relaxing in to lake after. Now I'm enjoying a good cigar and beers by the fire and the wind had picked up to about 25 knots and it's pitch black, when is someone going to invent a light for kites!

Glad you scored but be careful with the fire............it could cost you $345 bucks right now with the total campfire ban in place
