Osr 15 + knots in at dog beach with whitecaps out in the bay. Sun is shining, water is blue. Come on down, no other kiters here at the moment.

Awesome father's day session at dog beach. Rob W first on the water at 10:30am with 12m+surfboard with no trouble launching in unusually stable wind. Tons of kiters followed. Me on 10m+surfboard most others on 12m including Francis, Roxstock, Phil, Jeff, Bernie, Chris G, Tony360 ... about 20 kiters out. Spent almost 3.5 hrs (11am-2:30pm) at Acadia in steady W18-22. Only saw 1 lonely windsurfer at Acadia today. Best waves were chest high 70 ft apart at upper Acadia by the last marker. Beautiful warm and sunny afternoon with lots of family and dogs at the grassy beach.

Fantastic Father's Day at Jericho Beach. Took the kids to the beach and I hit the water! Had my brother out for the first time in 20 years.
Hope everyone else had fun!

Fantastic Father's Day at Cineplex Odeon. Took the kid (daughter) to see Mad Max Fury Road in 3-D. Now she's pumped to drive fast.

What a day!

Around 1:00 there was semi-lined up chest high swell out by the freighters. Then once the tide dropped to around 1.7 m there was just the right amount of water over the sandbar for me to ride the knee high curling breakers DTL while looping the crap out of my kite. It was essentially breach break but with my Shinster (same as BRM Paipo) I can get away with it. Once the tide dropped to 1.4 m it was too exposed though and I ate a bit of sand.

Had some nice strapless jumps from 12:00 - 1:00 too, but I didn't push it too hard since I'm still nursing the separated shoulder.

So nice to kite waves in the city, wish it would blow like that 7 days a week.

Haha...then your shoulder would never heal and we'd all be unemployed pretty quickly!!

Seems like a fair trade, come to think of it...

While I didn't get out on Sunday, I was able to score a Saturday afternoon session and I have to say it was one of the best sessions I've had kiting in the last decade at Jericho. The knee-deep kiddy pool was fully filled in with perfect powered 12m conditions, it kept the sailboats out and made a shallow freestyle lagoon. It seems like Jericho has been way better this year than in the last few.
