JWSP - Sunday Afternoon

Weather talk and On Site Reports (604)800-2770

Hey Guys,

JWSP is going to go off this Sunday afternoon / evening. Expect mid level, 30-40 knot, westerly gales to develop in the afternoon and strengthen until dark. There's a decent thermal trough of low pressure moving east of the Cascades and high pressure building offshore Sunday afternoon. If the tides are good and you can convince your Mom to sit on the beach and watch you rip you should have a great afternoon :D

Cheers,

Chris

Too bad you couldn't sail 9 miles upwind to score some DTL point break conditions :(

Thanks Chris - supported by BWD (but late arrival ~ 6 pm), tide is favourable (0 at noon, 2 feet at 6 pm and rising). Over half moon. Hope the front arrives early. I'll be watching the actuals on Sunday afternoon.

...but doesn't look like it made it to shore until after dark.

Too much south in it Dave plus a little convergence zone that setup over Anacortes killed it. I didn't not her watching it closely as nobody was making the trip down. Hopefully you guys get another good one soon. Nicola has been windy :D
