Beautiful weather, great conditions, great people and great food - lots of stroke! 6 sessions (3 windsurf and 3 wave-SUP) in 3 days - a lot of fun for sure.

gabrielb wrote:Great pics Dave. You guys look like expert sup hawaiians riders, hopefully we' ll get similar surf at ambleside soon.

8-) Glad you enjoyed them! That is Red Baron in most of the action shots. BWD was also ripping it up too. There are many others in the BWD crew who also have mad SUP skills - Nanmoo, The Law, Eastside, DavidM and others all ripe all rip on SUP's! Funny part was I ran into ULU and his wife today brimming with stoke at Long Beach just as I was leaving - turns out we took the same ferry over on Friday and were neighbours at the campground - I saw their SUV all three times but didn't make the connection until we started talking about his GoPro mount!

We haven' t had a clean 0.8 m sup day yet in vancouver. Slappy, Jeff are starting to see the potential. 0.9m was nice, but i am still waiting for 1.4 m, and ulu better be getting into shape and move to a short board, because wind and surf demand some skill and i'm still missing a buddy when things get past 0.8m + 20 knot winds. I have a feeling it will be a busy summer with good surf ahead in Vancouver.

8-) Nice shots ULU! Love the clean face at Long Beach! Thanks for sharing!

Surprising how nice and forgiving most of the waves were this weekend, particularly at Long Beach.

I plan to go back several times this year and will post in advance.

Funny part was a guy I work with who surfs was at FB on Saturday afternoon and then stopped by SC and was surprised to see windsurfers out (not realizing one was me). Another set of paths crossing on the 'magical' weekend!

Also ran into Mike from from deepcove kayak. He went out on his SUP wave board and was shredding. Very impressive. Him and BWD were riding together.
Hey BWD, didn't know who you were when I ran into you. Only had a quick opportunity to wave hi. ;-)
Hope we meet again. And by the way, big thanks for this website.

C36 , I will post other pix as soon as practicable, the company didn't give me a chance to rest from my time off and got me back into the saddle the next morning Tuesday at 5:45am. :-D

It was great to see you guys out there and looking forward to the next time already.
We are for sure bonded by the sand passion forctge ocean and energy.
