Looks like Nicola has been averaging 20 knots gusting to 30 since 12noon. Good direction too at WSW and still cranking. Hopefully Tweegster scored some 9m action :D

I have been totally kicking myself for not going. Frick!
Would've been some nice 7M action during the first spike.
Going tomorrow regardless of what the forecast is!!

Should be the same with a touch more West in it. Kamloops is calling for W40G60km/hr in the afternoon vs SW40G60 today. 23 Degrees too for a high tomorrow!

Have fun :D

Nope.. Work, then in-laws looked after our baby and wife and I had our first dinner out alone since the baby.

She said the wind was all done when she left WR to meet me in Langley... (There is no distrustful shifty eyes emoticon to go with this text).

Hey Chris,
I usually check Merrit weather. Tomorrow is "becoming s/w 20 in the afternoon".
Al (the old guy that used to look after the sailing site) told me last year that it didn't matter what was happening in Merrit, but what was happening up towards Kamloops because there were 3 valleys up there. It makes sense to me. He also said, you need 4 degrees between Merrit and kamloops (kamloops higher temp), then it would just rip.

The gradient looks good tomorrow, 3 degrees. It's a challenging place to kite when it's gusty, but the waves can get pretty good there offering all kinds of offerings. Plus, to launch from a nice acre of green well kept grass is pretty awesome! :P

Chris's ears must have been burning, Steve in WR mentioned something to me about 911 and train tunnel??

Steve talks very highly of you as a waterman BTW (not joking)

Had a good 3 hours on the foil today in sunny weather at the Spit. Had to wait around until 4:00 for the wind to finally kick in. When did it was gusty and a bit shifty but I was glad to get out on the water.

Just me and a windsurfer who was ripping it up in the river, he looked like he was having a good day. Then Kiter Dan and his buddy showed up around 5:30.

At 6:45 the wind just kind of stopped filling in to the spit so the 3 of us struggled to get to shore and just barely made it.

Getting pretty good foil rides on port tack now but I always end up gaining too much speed after a while then bailing. Starboard is still very porpoise like.
