Matt and I schlogged around in 11 knots from 1:00-2:30 today at Acadia then the front finally arrived and I was lit on my 10m with full depower until the tide came up at 4:00.

The best session I've ever had a Spanish banks. 4 hours on the water, I'm exhausted!

Point Roberts, Gulf RD was OK,. That place has a lot of potential but I've never hit it on a big day. The waves were small when I arrived but chest high when I left and there wasn't much wind, on a 30 knot day it would be great. The waves were very steep and the NW wind made for nice jumping. The wind however was not very consistent, a squall came through at first and died leaving me to slog back to the beach. It filled in again for half an hour then started getting lighter and lighter, it never really picked back up so I practiced tacks and pivot jibes for a while then packed it in. The waves looked like you could get some nice SUP rides at the end though.

Locarno at 6:15. Got a couple of rides on a Quatro FSW 105 and Hot 5.2. Nothing to brag about.

Chip stand was closed :(

I was looking at the PR break on NW wind waves on Sunday. Even though the waves were very small that day it looks like it breaks really nicely around the point on NW. The swell hits the point from more of a west angle.

I always hear about surfing PR on a southerly but I think it might work on NW too.

A few of us have windsurfed south of the point on wrapping waves on a NW wind and M and I wave-SUP'd there once as well. The rumours of surfing there are true - I have seen guys surfing both longboard and shortboards (fish) there. I'll post a link to some pictures when I have a moment.

Totally works on a NW. I've been out there a few times when the guys are surfing. The last time I tried SUPing out there with Dave it was too windy and the waves weren't great but it can be good.

I've seen a few guys surfing at Lighthouse Park on big (25 knots min) NW days. Waves can get up to chest high but not much power. Short rides on high volume short boards are doable but longboards and SUP look to be the better choices there. However, full on wind and current so it looks like a lot of work.
