Ha! I am no savant...very unfortunate about the fire, but great news about the shipping industry and I'm very excited about the weather!

Residents and visitors are asked not to access beach areas at the Oceanfront (Nexen Beach), the wind sports spit, and along the Mamquam Blind Channel due to potential fire debris hazards.

Thanks Mike. Hopefully, they will give us the green light after Monday when the forecast looks windier.

I was hoping to go up Monday as it's the best forecast of the week so I hope they clear it sooner but the odds are about zero of that happening.

I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't cleared for another week. The fire still isn't out yet.
