Today Cash and I arrived at noon and waited til 1:30pm before Cash pulled the trigger on his 13.5m. Cash was marginally powered but just enough to huck some nice jumps. By 2pm, I ventured out on my 10m + surfboard but only 4 runs with lots of pumping in SW 12-15. Instead, I ended up socializing with other kiters. Most guys (about a dozen) were doing fine on 12m - 14m kites today.

Seems odd that your SB + 10m needs so much wind Alton.

On my 2013 Trigger 10m + Shinnster I'm staying upwind at 13-14 knots.
If I use the Slingshot SP with 4 fins I can do 12 knots.

Well I guess you are probably quite a bit heavier than me, I'm only 160 lbs. Still would have thought you would be okay in the steady 15 knots the graph showed today.

I'm 190 lbs and there was a big hole at the marker. It was disconcerting to know that I was one of the heaviest guys on the smallest kite.
